About the Job
Ensuring the smooth and efficient integration of new products into the production and supply chain processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development, supplier qualification, manufacturing readiness, and seamless execution from concept through production.
What you will be responsible for:
- New Product Introduction (NPI):
•Lead the technical and operational aspects of NPI for new products, ensuring successful transition from design to production.
•Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to define product specifications, design for manufacturability (DFM), and develop process flows.
•Work closely with suppliers to ensure that new products meet quality standards and can be manufactured at scale within the required cost and time constraints.
•Ensure smooth coordination of pilot production runs, identifying and addressing any issues in materials, processes, or designs before full-scale production.
•Create and manage the NPI timeline, working with cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met and potential risks are mitigated.
•Drive continuous improvement during NPI, gathering lessons learned to refine processes for future product introductions.
- Quality and Process Improvement:
•Identify potential bottlenecks and quality issues during the NPI process and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
•Support product testing and validation, ensuring products meet required specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
•Contribute to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the NPI process.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
•Work with product development, quality assurance, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on product requirements, schedules, and launch readiness.
•Communicate regularly with senior management and stakeholders to report on NPI progress, key milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
How you will stand out:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in NPI, product development, supply chain engineering, or operations management, preferably in a tech or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, from design through to mass production and launch.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement.
- Proficient in NPI tools and techniques such as failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), design for manufacturability (DFM), and process flow mapping.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and production.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with product design, testing, or manufacturing in the electronics, hardware, or consumer technology space.
